As you get older you appreciate sleep. I'll start by saying that. But there is something about Dreams Take Flight day that gives everyone an extra push and added energy to make it the most thrilling day of the year -- or maybe even a lifetime.

Though it was still dark outside, the excitement at the Winnipeg airport for over 120 kids was building. And while they were treated to snacks before getting on the plane, there were a lot of nervous parents seeing off their youngsters for the first time ever. Have no fear! The Dreams Take Flight volunteers know how to make the day a memorable one. And this year, Mayor Brian Bowman joined in on the adventure to help celebrate Dreams Take Flight's 25th anniversary.
